Basin Officials Committee
The Murray–Darling Basin Officials Committee is established by the Murray–Darling Basin Agreement, Schedule 1 to the Water Act 2007 (Cwlth), as amended.
The committee is responsible for providing advice to the Ministerial Council, and for implementing policy and decisions of the council on matters such as state water shares and the funding and delivery of natural resource management programs. Read more ...
Basin Community Committee
The BCC is established under the Water Act 2007 (Cwlth) to provide advice to the Authority about the performance of the Authority's functions including community engagement relating to Basin water resource issues and the preparation of the Basin Plan. Read more ...
Advisory Committee on Social, Economic and Environmental Sciences
The Advisory Committee on Social, Economic and Environmental Sciences (ACSEES) is established by the Authority as an advisory committee under the Water Act. The committee's role is to provide strategic advice on science and knowledge to underpin the implementation of an adaptive Basin Plan. Read more ...
Northern Basin Advisory Committee
The Murray-Darling Basin Authority recognises that water management in the Basin is not all the same. The characteristics of the northern Basin river systems, their management, and the industries and communities based around them are different to those in the south. For this reason, the Authority has established a Northern Basin Advisory Committee (NBAC) to provide regional community views on Basin Plan matters covering the entire Basin upstream of the Menindee Lakes.
