The Murray-Darling Basin Authority recognises that water management in the Basin is not all the same. The characteristics of the northern Basin river systems, their management, and the industries and communities based around them are different to those in the south. For this reason, the Authority has established a Northern Basin Advisory Committee (NBAC) to provide regional community views on Basin Plan matters covering the entire Basin upstream of the Menindee Lakes.
