Clarification of release of socio-economic study

The Authority is committed to publishing the socio-economic report on the local community impacts of the Basin Plan once it becomes available.

The Authority received advice from the consultants that because of the floods in the northern Darling basin in southern Queensland, and northern New South Wales and in the Murray system in north-western Victoria interviews with these communities would be deferred until a more appropriate time.

While these interviews have recommenced, this has necessarily deferred the completion of the final consultant's report.
