River reflections conference

River reflections conference. Connecting Basin communities, industries and ideas

Basin communities rely on a healthy, productive river system to sustain their lives and livelihoods. An annual regional water conference series, River reflections, will be launched in June 2021 to provide the space and time for the diverse communities of the Murray–Darling Basin to come together.

The inaugural River reflections conference will take place in Griffith, New South Wales on Wednesday, 9 June and Thursday, 10 June 2021. You can attend in person or online, but registrations are essential.

The Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) recognises that regional river communities have lived and worked with the river systems of the Murray–Darling Basin for generations and River reflections is about hearing from the diverse communities and industries of the Basin.

Water management in the Basin relies on a partnership between multiple governments, industries and experts – River reflections is about hearing from all partners involved in water management. River reflections will share innovations in water management, knowledge and lessons learned while celebrating achievements in water reform.
