River Murray system annual summaries and reviews of river operations

Each year the Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) releases an annual summary of River Operations.  It describes the operating conditions experienced and river operations undertaken across the River Murray system.

The MDBA operates the River Murray system on behalf of the Victorian, New South Wales and South Australian Governments in accordance with the Murray–Darling Basin Agreement (the Agreement). The Agreement requires that each year the Basin Officials Committee approve the 'Objectives and Outcomes for River Operations in the River Murray system'. The Objectives and Outcomes identifies that the MDBA will prepare an annual report summarising the operations of the River Murray system and its performance against both specific and general objectives and outcomes identified. Subsequently, an independent advisory group reviews the MDBA’s performance against the Objectives and Outcomes and reports back to the Basin Officials Committee on performance.
