Adjusting sustainable diversion limits – annual progress report

The MDBA plays a key role in monitoring the integrity of sustainable diversion limits and the operation of the Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism. The MDBA is committed to providing an annual update on the progress of the package of projects, including design and implementation.

Annual reporting in the initial years of SDLAM program implementation will focus on assessing whether reasonable progress is being made, and that projects are on track to deliver the outcomes committed to.

Particular attention will be given to the more complex projects that require further design and community consultation, and subsequently have higher delivery risks. These include the Menindee Lakes Water Saving Project, constraints projects, and the multi-jurisdictional Enhanced Environmental Water Delivery project.
