Constraints management strategy annual reports

On behalf of all Basin governments, the MDBA has developed a Constraints Management Strategy that enables water to get to where it’s needed, when it’s needed most, while preventing or mitigating potential effects on third parties

Each year, an update on the Constraints Management Strategy is provided through an annual report. All reports are used by Basin governments to guide project delivery and consultation.

Please note that the 2016 Constraints Management Strategy Annual report provides an overview of some of the projects which have now been endorsed as part of the Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism.

Basin state governments are responsible for delivering the projects at a local level, including consulting with communities and detailed project design and implementation.

The Gwydir River project mentioned in the 2016 annual report will be further developed by the NSW state government and has not been considered as part of the Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism.
