The River Murray System Annual Operating Plan (Public Summary) End February 2011 Review

The River Murray System Annual Operating Plan for the 2010-11 (Operating Plan) was released in June 2010 and provided context and descriptions of how the River Murray System may have been operated under a number of assumed scenarios.

This document provides a review of the Operating Plan given that not only has 2010-11 been a very wet year, it has provided the highest summer inflows on record. The review compares actual river operations up to 28 February 2011 with the six scenarios that were presented in the Operations Plan. The review also describes the very wet conditions to date and their impact on river operations.

The plan has been prepared by the Murray–Darling Basin Authority ('the MDBA' or 'the Authority') with input from the Australian Government, and the States of New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia through the MDBA's Water Liaison Working Group.
